"For how long are podcast episodes available?"

The majority of podcasts are now available for either 30 days or indefinitely. Some podcast episodes will still disappear after seven days (for rights reasons or where we felt that the episodes would go out of date quickly).

In addition, some podcasts series may be made available for the duration of a particular series or season, with all the episodes disappearing seven days after the final episode has been published.

The period of availability for a podcast series is determined on a per-series basis and is not retrospective i.e. "old" episodes are not being made available.

But please don't forget that once you have downloaded a podcast episode, it is yours to keep forever and will not expire. Unfortunately, if you missed an episode and didn't download it within the period of availability we are not able to send you a copy.
