"I want to download past episodes of a podcast - is there an archive?"

Most BBC podcast episodes are only available to download for seven days before being removed. We do not offer an archive of past podcast episodes.

Where we have been able to negotiate the necesary rights for an individual podcast series, episodes may be available to download for a longer period.

Once you have downloaded a podcast episode, it is yours to keep forever and will not expire. However, if you missed an episode and did not download it, we are not able to send you a copy.

The BBC is also currently running a Podcast Extended Availability Trial which affects the length of time that episodes of some series are available. To read more about this, please see our separate FAQ relating to this.

If this did not answer your question, please advise what information you would expect to be provided.
