BBC Help

The new homepage is too colourful/busy/lacks detailed information – isn’t this the BBC "dumbing down"?

The visual style of the new homepage is certainly very different to the old and there is a greater emphasis on images. We know that this kind of design is very appealing to some in our audience. We also know from other areas of the site that users find it interesting to know what other users are watching or reading, so this feature has been added too. While making these changes we have tried to preserve the page's ability to provide key information and we hope that over time our audience will recognise that the new page provides a better balance between being useful and being stimulating.

We're taking note of all feedback received and your comments are useful for us.
