I've received an email claiming to be from the BBC and it contains a link to a replica BBC website. Is this a genuine email?

We've been made aware of emails of this nature having been received purporting to be affiliated with the BBC.

These emails have no connection with the BBC whatsoever and you should ignore them. You should not reply to them or click on any links contained in the email. If you believe that persons are attempting to deceive you with a view to monetary gain, you should contact the police.
